A full range of services is available within 5-10 minutes of the Sonora Bay area. In neighboring Guaymas (population 220,000) you will find shopping malls, 24-hour grocery stores and such “gringo” trappings as Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Dominos and Blockbuster Video. There you'll also find a private school for grades K-8 where classes are taught in English. In the event of a serious medical situation, an hour north in Hermosillo there is a very good hospital, which is co-owned and operated by the University of Arizona Medical School. If  you want to stock up on your favorite merchandise, you'll find a Sam's Club, Costco and Wal-Mart in Hermosillo as well. Finally, if there is something that you can’t find locally you are only a 5-hour drive from the Tucson, Arizona.
